Greetings all, just got home from picking up a new lens. I needed something that would act as a normal lens for my digitals and something that would allow me to shoot wide with my film bodies, can you guess what I bought? If not, I bought a Nikkor AF-S 17-35 f/2.8. The 14-24mm was tempting, but I can't use my beloved filters on it, so I went with the next best thing. Anyway, just thought I'd share my excitement with you all, I can't wait to get out tomorrow and take some shots. Thanks for reading

And now the boring part, that part about me


Well, my name is Adam as is indicated on my page. My handle comes from me preferring to be called Adz (as in short for Adam) and my fascination with Mazda 929's, hence you get adz929. On most sites I simply use Adz, but from memory that was already taken I live in Melbourne, Victoria with my wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters. My youngest has begun to show an interest in photography, which really makes me happy

I have several rather expensive hobbies that burn huge holes in my pockets Firstly, I have a deep seeded interest in computing. I have a good collection of vintage machines including C64's, Amiga's and Apple's. I also have a fairly tricked up Windoze box that I like to play games with (never been one for consoles). Next is my passion for cars, currently I have a customised Ford EF Fairmont, see pics in my scraps.

Finally, I have my photography. In all honesty, I love photography more than anything else I've ever done. Nothing makes me happier (besides the family) than just sitting there clicking away, trying ever so hard to capture the world around me as I see it. In my gallery is a sample of what I have achieved thus far. I know that my photo's are far from great, but I really do try to improve with every new photo that I take. The way I see it, what I take, I take with the sole intention of sharing it with others, in the hope that I pass on a little bit of the happiness I received from taking it.
